Wellness services at Origin Rehabilitation physical therapy in Mint Hill, NC most often take place after a client completes their physical therapy program. Our Wellness programs are designed to support clients in the progress they’ve made and continue to integrate these new movement patterns into daily activity. The Wellness client may experience some hands-on stretching for flexibility, but the majority of time will be spent in coaching movement for strength, balance, and/or flexibility.
While tailored to the individual client, our Wellness programs are not a substitute for physical therapy services. The primary difference between the two being that the skilled physical therapy program has effectively diagnosed and solution to the problem while wellness services provide supportive programming to aide in maintaining progress made.
Wellness services begin with a brief assessment of strength, flexibility, and balance. We will measure your performance in each of these areas and design a program to meet your specific needs. You’ll have movements (exercises, stretching, etc.) to practice between sessions at home or your gym to build on the momentum we’re creating.
One circumstance where Wellness may be an excellent introduction to our services (for those NOT needing physical therapy) is for someone beginning a new exercise program in Mint Hill, Matthews, or surrounding communities.
