Dave Reed, MSPT, MBA, is a licensed physical therapist with over 15 years of clinical experience and a passion for solving complex rehabilitation challenges. Originally from just outside Detroit, Dave earned his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Wayne State University in 2005 and later completed his MBA at Michigan State University in 2012.
After moving with his family to North Carolina, Dave served two consecutive terms on the North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners, including three years as chairman (2016–2019), having been appointed by the governor. Before founding Origin Rehab, he led Medicare compliance and clinical oversight for PT, OT, and speech therapy programs within assisted living communities across the Southeast.
Now based in Matthews, Dave created Origin Rehab to offer one-on-one, expert-led care for adults who want to stay active, overcome chronic pain, or recover from surgery — especially those who feel like they’ve “tried everything” without lasting results.
He specializes in personalized, results-driven physical therapy for patients who value thoughtful care and real outcomes. At Origin Rehab, he helps people move better, feel stronger, and get back to the life they love — with a clinical approach that’s anything but cookie-cutter.
